DIATOMACEOUS EARTH
Diatomaceous Earth
* Diatomaceous earth are fossilized microscopic algae that appear as siliceous sedimentary rocks of white color, reason why it is also called White Earth. When algae die their organic content is destroyed, except for their silica skeleton that is deposited in the bottom of the water and with the passage of time forms large deposits of fossilized algae known as Diatomaceous earth, therefore inert and non-toxic material.
Diatomaceous earth is a great desiccant, absorbs up to 130% of its weight in water so it is highly recommended for skins with excess fat.
