The ForestStewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organization established in 1993 to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Its main tools to achieve this are standard setting, independent certification and labeling of forest products. This offers customers around the world the choice of products from forestry, social and environmentally responsible engineering.
The Council’s official mission is to “promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests”. Individuals or organizations interested in the sustainable consumption of wood, paper and other forest products may seek FSC certification of their products. FSC certification is also used to demonstrate sustainable forest management.
So: the wood, the carton of our boxes and the paper of our catalogs are certified by the FSC.
